Getting started
Your first South African holiday: make room for the journey
Build a realistic itinerary that connects city experiences, scenic routes and time to unwind.

South Africa rewards travellers who leave room to enjoy each place. A Johannesburg city break, a Panorama Route escape and a safari can belong in one holiday, but the connections deserve as much attention as the attractions.
Choose a few anchors
Start with two or three experiences you most want to enjoy. Ask GoLynx to connect them with sensible travel days, overnight stops and time to rest after arrival. A destination name on a map does not tell you how long a transfer will take.
Prepare for arrival
Confirm your arrival airport, transfer meeting point and accommodation check in arrangements. Keep booking confirmations available offline and share your itinerary with someone you trust. Check passport and entry requirements with Home Affairs and your airline before paying for travel.
Make the quote work for you
State your dates, party size and estimated budget in rand, including whether it is per traveller or for the whole party. Ask which meals, transfers, attraction fees and optional activities are included. Discuss insurance with a suitable provider before departure.
